Industrial production down only 2%
According to the Polish statistical office, industrial production in March fell by only 2% year on year. This is significantly better than in February when production fell by 15.5%. The improved performance of the Polish economy has raised hopes that the worst of the economic recession is already behind us. Exports, which have been stimulated by the dramatic fall in the zloty against the euro, have been an important factor supporting the economy.
